In 2009 we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 12 Metre Class of boats in the America’s Cup Competition. This "Golden Year" will highlight the 12 Metres yachts with regattas in Newport, Edgartown, Nantucket and New York City. The centerpiece will be the 12 Metre World Championships in Newport from September 22-27.

3 Classic 12 Metre Yachts plan to compete in the inaugural Portofino Rolex Trophy Regatta held by the Yacht Club Italiano from May 8 to 10 in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy. These yachts include: Cintra, Emilia and Varuna.......here is the link to the event site.....LINK
