American Eagle Races For Wounded Heroes/Military Families
American Eagle is racing in over ten regattas in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York from June to October to support Hope For The Warriors®. To learn more about the cause and to donate, visit 12mfoundation.com or contact Carol Swift at firstname.lastname@example.org.
American Eagle, a classic 12 Meter that was once under the command of Ted Turner, began her career racing for the America's Cup in Newport. Designed and built by A.E. Luders for the 1964 America's Cup Defense, she won 20 of 21 races in the June and July observation trials but was eventually routed by Constellation for the right to defend the America's Cup. American Eagle is known for winning the first World Ocean Racing Championship and setting records in the distinguished S.O.R.C., Fastnet and Sydney-Hobart Races. American Eagle is joining forces with Hope For The Warriors® to show its sincere appreciation and gratitude to those service members who have risked their lives to ensure Americans their freedom.
Monies raised will assist the immediate and future needs of combat service members and military families assisted by Hope For The Warriors®. Their programs offer a full cycle of support starting with Immediate Needs and Family Support financial assistance, and continuing through A Warrior's Wish®, Warrior's Hope & Morale, Above & Beyond Professional Development, Spouse/Caregiver scholarships, Family Support, Team Hope For The Warriors® and more.
