Built according to the International Third Rule America's Cup

1982 - 1985 Secret Cove Yacht Club Challenge (Marvin McDill) - name: CANADA I - home port: Half Moon Bay, BC She competed in the Challenge Trials in Newport in 1983 for the Louis Vuitton Cup: she was fourth in the sem-finals behind Australia II, Victory '83 and Azzurra. She was subsequently redisegned and considerably re-built as Canada II.
