Designed by Eugène Cornu, built in 1956 at Chantiers Jouët (Sartrouville), France, as Hallali.
Constructed with a mahogany double-planked hull and oak/acacia frames.
Originally classified as a 12 Metre Cruiser-Racer (12m CR), later listed as a 12 Metre International Rule yacht (12mR) in 1964.

Ownership & Name History
1956–1962: Owned by Franck Guillet as Hallali, raced in France.
1963: Sold to Christian de Galéa, renamed Le Cid, re-rigged as a yawl, and moved to the Mediterranean.
1968–1974: Owned by the Imbert family, underwent restoration.
1984: Briefly owned by Jacques Grout, then transferred to Norway under Björn Tingstad, sailing as Le Cid with sail number NOR-2.
2019: Repatriated to France by descendants of the original owner, restored to her original name Hallali and returned to classic regattas.
Current Status
Currently based in Bénodet, France, actively sailing and participating in classic yacht events.
