Shifty winds and challenging conditions in Marstrand - Day 3
Day 3 – Shifty winds and challenging conditions in Marstrand
Yesterday’s racing brought 5–13 knots of wind, with bearings of approximately 070° and 090° for the two races.
Heavy rain and poor visibility made for challenging conditions, but it was the constantly shifting wind that really tested the sailors. At one point, the wind was showing 130° at the start vessel, 95° at the gate — just 200 metres away — and 80° at the windward mark, 1.4 nautical miles from the start… all at the same time!
Another demanding day for the 12 Metre fleet in Marstrand.
